I’m taking a break on political economy for a post today, since as I tell my students, you can have more impact on your communities if you are a small business owner than you can as a U.S. Congressman or Congresswoman. The reality is still that solutions to our world’s true problems are invariably micro, not macro–which is a big reason I’m in favor of freedom and free markets. The institutions of limited government and free enterprise provide the social space for individuals working in their communities to solve problems and make the world a little bit less cursed by the Fall.
This is why I’m excited to be hosting Impact 2024 on 25-26 October. We need more Christian business owners and leaders to see the opportunity to be on mission in the marketplace. To be encouraged and equipped to find practical ways to live out their faith and serve with excellence. To connect and partner strategically with other like-minded Christians. We have an awesome line up of speakers with talks that will equip and encourage you. I’d love to host you here in the new Scharnberg Center for Business and Communication, so sign up now while the early-bird rate is still in effect, as it goes away soon.
